Summary

Specific Job Functions

  • Maintain a professional and pleasant attitude and appearance with co-workers and guests.
  • Ensure thorough working knowledge of all Cage areas and compliance with all Title 31 regulations.
  • Perform all cashier functions as necessary.
  • Enforce and strictly adhere to all gaming regulations.
  • Train and develop the Cage staff using programs which will effectively meet employee development guidelines.
  • Ensure a thorough knowledge of departmental paperwork flow as it pertains to credits and debits.
  • Verify various types of pay-outs including drawing and tournament winners.
  • Generate end of shift reports for Title 31 purposes.
  • Turn in reports and paperwork to the Accounting department in a timely manner.
  • Perform disciplinary counseling as needed.
  • Maintain attendance records of hourly employees.
  • Generate and submit a weekly cashier schedule to Cage manager ensuring complete departmental coverage at all times.
  • Approve vacations and requested time off for cashiers.
  • Assist management with needs for high profile players.
  • Attend mandatory meetings/classes given by the property and attend all mandatory Cage meetings.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of all Cage equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve problems in all cage areas in a professional manner.
  • Ensure a thorough understanding of fraud prevention and credit scams.
  • Verify all transactions $5,000 and up.
  • Provide department bank coverage as staffing levels and customer flow fluctuate.
  • Perform guest transactions, including but not limited to: redeeming casino chips, redeeming slot machine tickets, redeeming Race & Sports tickets, even money exchanges, foreign currency exchanges, cash advances, check cashing, marker/front money issuance/redemption.
  • Perform all duties as deemed necessary for the success of the department.

Qualifications

  • One-year of Main Bank and Casino Cashier experience required.
  • One-year Casino Credit experience (knowledge of Central Credit/Credit Reports) required.
  • Prior Supervisory experience preferred.
  • High School diploma is required. College degree in related field is preferred.
  • Must be able to acquire a Gaming License and Alcohol Awareness Card.
  • Must possess the ability to operate basic office equipment and programs like Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.
  • Thorough working knowledge of Title 31, State and Federal Gaming and employment regulations a must.
  • Must be able to bend, climb, crouch, push/pull, stand and walk for extended periods of times, carry and lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Must be able to work in casino environment with possible exposure to: dust, dirt, high noise level, and smoke.
