As a Cafe Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the cafe, ensuring a positive customer experience, and managing a team of staff members. Your primary focus will be on maintaining high-quality service standards, optimizing efficiency, and driving business growth.
Responsibilities:
Operational Management:
Ensure smooth daily operations, including opening and closing procedures.
Monitor inventory levels and place orders for supplies as needed.
Implement and enforce health and safety standards.
Oversee the maintenance of equipment and ensure a clean and organized environment.
Customer Service:
Train and lead staff in delivering exceptional customer service.
Handle customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a professional manner.
Implement strategies to enhance the overall customer experience.
Staff Management:
Recruit, train, and schedule cafe staff.
Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
Foster a positive work environment and resolve employee conflicts.
Financial Management:
Monitor and manage the cafe's budget and financial performance.
Implement cost-control measures to optimize profitability.
Track sales, analyze trends, and develop strategies to increase revenue.
Marketing and Promotion:
Develop and execute marketing initiatives to attract new customers.
Collaborate with the marketing team to create promotions and events.
Utilize social media and other channels to promote the cafe.
Menu Development:
Work with chefs or kitchen staff to develop and update the menu.
Ensure menu items meet quality and cost standards.
Gather customer feedback and adjust the menu accordingly.
Compliance:
Stay informed about health and safety regulations and ensure compliance.
Address any licensing or certification requirements for the cafe.
Keep abreast of industry trends and best practices.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in cafe or restaurant management.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
