Overview

Snyder & Associates has an immediate opening in our Council Bluffs, Iowa office for a CAD Technician to work in the creation of detailed drawing and construction plan preparation in civil, transportation, municipal and utilities engineering projects.

Responsibilities

This position will be involved on a daily basis with creating the detailed drawings and construction plans for civil engineering projects that include wind farms, roads, airports, site planning, municipal, underground utilities and stormwater drainage.

Qualifications

• Prior experience with civil engineering projects in transportation, utility and/or land development design is preferred
• Prior experience in the clean-up of topographic survey downloads a plus.
• Associate's Degree in CAD or Certificate in Drafting, or an acceptable level of CAD training with previous on-the-job experience.
• Knowledge of MicroStation, Geopak or AutoCAD strongly preferred
• Experience with ArcView a plus
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Reliable worker with self-starter qualities
• Able to work in teams and as an individual contributor
• Solid communication skills, both written and verbal
