The Goodyear Tire and Rubber company is seeking a motivated individual who will play a crucial role in in delivery and maintenance of an integrated CAD (Computer Aided Design) platform within our organization. You will work with a cross-functional, cross-continental group of mechanical, and IT engineers to support value creation in a global R&D organization. Your responsibilities will cover system and infrastructure architecture, automation of day-to-day maintenance, and end-user support.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Work at the intersection of the operating system, servers, storage, DevOps, and network to support the CAD platform and troubleshoot issues.
• Collaborate within cross-functional, cross-continental R&D organizations and with the global IT infrastructure teams.
• Maintain and patch existing on-prem and cloud systems. Plan and execute new installations and upgrades.
• Automate CAD software releases, daily maintenance tasks, managing settings, licensing, deploying customizations.
• Coordinate infrastructure changes with internal and external partners.
• Ensure the environment is secure and follows the organizational and industry standards.
• Proactively monitor systems, driving consistent availability.
• Maintain and enhance disaster recovery plans.
• Explore new solutions, create value, and increase customer satisfaction.
• Regular work in the CET time zone. The production environment changes outside of the business working hours.\

Required Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science.
• 6-8 years of demonstrated experience managing automated CAD system infrastructure mixed on-premise and cloud.
• Strong experience with CAD from the system administrator’s perspective
• Experience with AWS infrastructure and GitHub toolset.
• Very good Windows Server and Windows client systems, moderate AWS, basic Linux.
• CAD systems administration - CATIA is required, other systems, NX, Creo are nice to have.
• Automation and scripting skills: one of PowerShell, bash or Python; GitHub toolset, Jenkins, Terraform.
• Basic network and security skills.
• Excellent planning and troubleshooting skills.
• ITIL certification or similar. User-level experience with ticketing and monitoring systems.
• Efficient communication and customer service skills.
• Participate as an active team member, and practice effective listening and effective collaboration skills.
• Attention to detail and commitment to timely, high-quality, and error-free deliverables.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
• Proactive in managing issues and problems, comfortable with ambiguity.
• Ability to present ideas and solutions in business-friendly and user-friendly language.
• Guide and coordinate efforts of less experienced team members.
