The Digital Print/CAD Drafter Programmer position at Lumicor is a great opportunity for an ambitious self-starter who wants to be a part of our dynamic Technical Services team. Responsibilities

• Prepare Digital Print drawings for Customer Approval, Shop Instructions and Print Vendor instructions
• Prepare Digital Print files and submit to various Print vendors
• Prepare detailed drawings from notes, sketches and/or customer drawings for simple and complex projects to convey our products and solutions and how they are used in specific environments
• Work with Lumicor customers and various Lumicor departments including: sales, manufacturing, purchasing and marketing to serve customer needs
• Provide creative, well-considered solutions to design problems
• Calculate/Nest part sizes, value engineer when necessary
• Call out/detail joints, fabrication techniques and hardware on shop drawings
• Ability to create router programs for all CNC equipment (routers, saw, sonic knife, etc.)
• Know the basic operation for all CNC equipment
• Create and/or update Procedures and Work Instructions as needed for all Software and CNC equipment
• Request hardware quotes from approved vendors and send Inside Sales Team pricing for quotes
• Lumilight/Lumisheet quoting, internal and external lighting options
• Create purchasing request (PR’s) in intuitive per approved Standard Operating Procedures
• Hardware/Solutions Product Development, assist in concept to launch
• Cross check other team members work as required
  
  

Skills

CAD

• Proficient in AutoCAD
• Proficient in CAM program (MasterCam)
  
  

Digital Print

• Proficient in Adobe creative software products (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Acrobat)
  
  

Knowledge/Experience

• 1-3 years relevant experience
• Experience with Digital Printing file preparation
• Experience with CNC, manufacturing, fabrication, woodworking, casework, hardware and plastics a plus
• Degree in related fields
• Working knowledge of drafting standards
• Blueprint reading, basic math and working knowledge of measuring devices
• Attention to detail and ability to handle multiple priorities
• Strong visualization sketching skills
• Willingness to learn and receive training and to train others
