Position Overview

The Mechanical CAD Tech Designer will play a crucial role in the design and documentation of mechanical systems. This position involves utilizing CAD software to create detailed drawings and models, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project specifications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create detailed mechanical drawings using CAD software, including AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
  • Collaborate with engineers and architects to develop design specifications and project requirements.
  • Prepare and maintain documentation for mechanical design projects, including revisions and updates.
  • Conduct design reviews and assist in coordinating project efforts among various stakeholders.
  • Ensure designs meet industry standards, codes, and regulations, focusing on efficiency and sustainability.

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology or related field preferred
  • 4+ years of proven experience as a CAD Technician or Designer, with a strong portfolio of mechanical design projects
  • Mechanical facilities project experience preferred
  • Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD and Revit.
  • Familiarity with BIM principles and practices is a plus.
  • Knowledge of mechanical systems including ductwork, piping design, plumbing, and MEP design is desirable.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
