Summary

  • Assist the buying team in researching and evaluating potential suppliers, negotiating contracts, and managing vendor relationships
  • Gather and analyse market data to identify trends, opportunities, and potential cost-saving measures
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into effective procurement strategies
  • Maintain and update procurement databases, records, and reporting systems
  • Provide administrative support to the buying team, including order processing, invoice management, and inventory tracking
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the procurement function

What we're looking for

  • Relevant experience in a buying or procurement role, preferably in the retail or consumer products industry
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and identify cost-saving opportunities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Proficiency in using procurement software and data analysis tools
  • Attention to detail and a keen eye for process improvement
  • Ability to work well in a team environment and adapt to changing priorities
