Ichor is seeking a proactive Buyer / Procurement Specialist to support our procurement operations by managing vendor relationships, reviewing and analyzing purchase requisitions, and ensuring timely and cost-effective purchasing of goods and services. This is a key role that helps drive operational efficiency, cost savings, and quality across our supply chain. Essential Duties and Responsibilities - Other duties may be assigned. o Purchase materials, products, equipment and supplies in accordance with Ichor guidelines and procedures relating to cost, quality and delivery o Monitor vendor performance o Maintain acceptable inventory levels of component and finished goods o Provide thorough communication between departments o Review schedules to anticipate required materials, products, equipment and supplies, plan capacity requirements and coordinates production or shipments with sales forecasts o Issue purchase orders and maintain open purchase order module insuring accurate delivery dates and quantities at all times, while maintaining desired inventory levels o Schedule orders for shipping in the most cost-effective way o Determine optimal replenishment by supplier o Resolve payment mismatches o Work independently with moderate supervision Desired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities o Knowledge in integrated manufacturing software systems such as SAP o Good project management skills o Knowledge of timing and scheduling of purchased goods and services o Strong customer service skills o Ability to interact with other members of the organization o Excellent verbal and written communication skills o Ability to sit for prolonged periods and occasionally walk, bend, and lift up to 25 lbs. Desired Education, Certifications and Experience o 3-5+ years buying or related work experience o B.S. or equivalent work experience, or any combination of education and experience o APICS certification Ichor is the leader in the design, engineering and manufacturing of critical fluid delivery subsystems and components for semiconductor capital equipment.
