Our client, a leading name in the auto lending industry, is seeking a Business Systems Developer with a strong data background to support loan origination and decisioning platform enhancements. Experience of the right candidate:

• 1–2 years of experience in a Business Systems, Data Engineering, or Development role
• Strong SQL skills and experience working with Snowflake or similar cloud-based data platforms
• Background in Python or Java (Python preferred)
• Familiarity with Postman for API or unit testing – a strong plus
• Exposure to low-code configuration tools (FICO DMP, Defi LOS, etc.) is a plus but not required
• Experience in Auto Finance, Lending, or Loan Origination Systems is highly desirable
• Understanding of business logic, financial calculations (e.g., interest, amortization), and data modeling
• Comfortable in Agile teams and fast-changing environments
• Excellent communication and analytical skills

Responsibilities of the right candidate:

• Configure and implement business rules within the Loan Origination and Decision Engine platforms
• Analyze and translate business requirements into system logic and configuration
• Work with matrixed teams (Risk, IT, Product, Finance) to understand needs and deliver systemic solutions
• Perform unit testing using Postman and support broader QA/testing efforts
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in production and testing environments
• Provide subject matter expertise on how data and rules affect downstream systems and lending outcomes
• Assist with documentation and change management related to system updates
• Contribute to continuous improvement of the decisioning platform and business processes
