As the Business Systems Analyst you will liaise between the team and business stakeholders for functionality enhancements and new developments. You will be a part of an exciting team responsible for translating concepts and requirements into client focused and effective system-based solutions. You will participate in moderately complex and diverse initiatives, formulating and defining system scope and objectives based on both user needs and an understanding of the applicable business applications.

Technologies You Have Experience With

  • You have experience with at least one of the Guidewire suite of products - PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, or BillingCenter.
  • You have experience with JIRA, JIRA Service Desk and Confluence or similar tools.
  • You have experience with data query tools and data dictionaries used in applications


How You Will Create Impact

  • Managing business process design activities, defining business functional, specifications and user journeys
  • Good understanding of APIs, UI/UX and Non-Functional Requirements
  • Experience of data projects including migration and content management
  • Planning system and user acceptance testing, creating test data, verifying application accuracy and managing the defect resolution process.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to initiate, plan and execute deliverables for complex projects and communicating issues, risks and project updates to management teams.
  • Performing data analysis to identify data gaps and develop data conversion mapping tables.
  • You will also be responsible for supporting program managers and directors in basic project management activities and tasks

To Join Our Team

  • You have 4+ years of experience in software application development as a Business Analyst, Business Systems Analyst
  • You have completed a post-secondary education in Business, Information Technology or Computer Science.
  • You have completed a designation in Business or Quality Analysis and/or Agile methodologies.
  • You have advance knowledge of business and quality analysis practices and testing processes, tools and reporting.
  • You are an expert on tools and methodologies to elaborate requirements in the form of user cases, user interfaces (prototypes, mock-ups), business rules and business process flowcharts.
  • Proficiency in English is essential to the main duties in this role, including servicing and communicating primarily with majority non-francophone clients, groups, teams. Drafting complex English documents and preparing daily reports for anglophone leaders. The essential non-French duties are not assignable to adjacent or other team members.

  • You will travel occasionally within the Greater Toronto and surrounding areas.
  • Extended work hours, including weekends, may be required.
  • You will be subject to a Criminal Record and Consumer History background check as a condition of employment, in the event you are the successful candidate.
  • You will be required to attend training and certification programs relating to the technology platform used.
