Title: Business Systems Analyst: Central Administration #00640 State Role Title: Info Technology Specialist III Hiring Range: $85,135 - $140,471 Pay Band: 6 Agency: Dept of Corr - Central Admin Location: DOC Headquarters Agency Website: www.vadoc.virginia.gov Recruitment Type: General Public - G Job Duties The primary objective of the Delivery Support Service group within the Information Technology Unit (ITU) is to deliver quality Project Management and Business System Analysis to support the business units within the Agency. This group will work with the CIO, Deputy CIO, Business Units and Senior Executives to manage the portfolio of projects through a standardized methodology of delivering projects and analysis. Ensures compliance with the VITA project management standards and procedures and established ITU project management and business analysis standards; provides project planning and management, ensures production of quality deliverables through the coordination of requirements, develops detailed knowledge and functional area expertise of business processes for supported DOC units; participates in teams and maintains positive, professional relationships with colleagues and customers; demonstrates initiative, timeliness, self-professional development, strong oral and written communications skills. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Considerable experience and applied knowledge of requirements solicitation techniques. Considerable experience and applied knowledge to create professional, written deliverables for requirements, project management documentation, and work activities schedules. Considerable experience and applied knowledge of business systems analysis methodologies and best practices. Knowledge of MS Project. Knowledge of project management methodologies and best practices. Working knowledge of Agile software development methodologies. Excellent oral and written communication skills Demonstrated ability to interact with all levels of staff and external vendors. Considerable experience as a BSA and or PM. Additional Considerations Expert and applied knowledge of RFI/RFP creation and proposal evaluation. Knowledge of Commonwealth IT procurement processes, procedures, and laws. VITA PMD Level I certified. VITA PMD Level II certified or PMP. VITA PMD Category 1-4 qualified.
