Position Focus
- Identify and Document Requirements: Collaborate with faculty, researchers, and IT teams to gather and document business requirements for health sciences IT projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Support Reporting Activities: Perform and contribute to reporting efforts for health sciences IT systems and software to aid decision-making, grant development, and strategic planning.
- Manage IT Projects: Plan, execute, document, and monitor IT projects, including creating project plans, timelines, and resource allocation to ensure on-time and within-scope delivery.
- Optimize Processes and Workflows: Evaluate current health sciences IT processes to identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements for enhanced service delivery.
- Facilitate Training and Change Management: Advise stakeholders on training and change management strategies for adopting new technologies and innovations.
- Design Secure Software Solutions: Collaborate with stakeholders, information security, and IT teams to develop software solutions that meet research objectives and comply with HIPAA and NIST 800-171 requirements.
Essential Duties
- Perform a diverse range of analytical duties in the development of technology solutions for business processes.
- Plan, organize, and define requirements, methods, and end user objectives, coordinate effort with team members, other IT staff, users, and vendors.
- Interview, analyze, and document end-user processes and systems requirements for enhancement and/or workflow improvements or new system development.
- Develop and execute system test plans to ensure application performance aligns to specifications
- Prepare technical reports, design workflow maps or other documents to facilitate system/s understanding.
- May lead segments of larger projects, develop trainings, presentations, and communications.
Required Education And Experience
- Bachelor's Degree and four years of experience or equivalent education and experience.
- Developed analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Developed interpersonal, written, communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
- Proven ability to lead and manage staff.
- Proven expertise with systems and process analysis methods and techniques.
- Proven project management skills. Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures.
Preferred Education, Experience And Skills
Demonstrated experience working with HIPAA and NIST 800-171 requirements.
