Business Solution Architect | Hybrid in Richardson, TX | Contract to Hire

Optomi, in partnership with a leader in the HVACR market, is seeking a Business Solution Architect for a hybrid position out of their office in Richardson, TX. This individual will serve as a key liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams to define, design, and deliver scalable B2B eCommerce solutions. The ideal candidate has strong experience with solution architecture, stakeholder management, and hands-on knowledge of leading eCommerce platforms.

Experience of the right candidate:

• 10+ years of IT experience with a strong background in business analysis, requirements gathering, and system configuration.
• Proven experience with B2B eCommerce platforms such as SAP Hybris, Shopify, Salesforce Commerce, BigCommerce, or Adobe Commerce.
• Strong understanding of API integration and modern architectural practices.
• Demonstrated success in solution and system design for eCommerce platforms.
• Effective communicator with strong stakeholder management skills.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and participation in full sprint cycles.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Experience with SAP ecosystem.
• Functional and technical expertise in commerce platforms.
• Ability to present technical concepts to business stakeholders and lead product demos.
• Basic project management skills are a plus.

Responsibilities of the right candidate:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and translate business requirements into detailed user stories or use cases.
• Participate in daily stand-ups, grooming sessions, workshops, and Scrum meetings as part of an Agile delivery team.
• Lead solution design discussions and provide functional insights on architecture and user experience.
• Conduct functional testing to validate that business requirements are accurately implemented.
• Drive enhancements and integrations on the existing SAP Hybris eCommerce platform.
• Work closely with internal teams and third-party vendors to enable marketplace integrations (e.g., Costco, Walmart, FSM) using modern API-based architectures.
• Manage ongoing enhancements and issue resolution for the eCommerce platform.
• Ensure alignment of solutions with long-term IT and business strategy.
• Support early-stage project activities including feasibility assessments, scoping, risk analysis, and effort estimation.
• Deliver product demos and communicate technical solutions effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
