Business Intelligence Engineer (BIE)

We are seeking a Business Intelligence Engineer to support large-scale analytics, data pipeline architecture, and insight generation for a recurring revenue enablement program. This role is ideal for someone who excels at building reporting systems from the ground up and thrives in highly collaborative, data-centric environments.

As a BIE, you’ll architect the end-to-end business intelligence landscape—including datasets, ETL processes, logic layers, dashboards, and stakeholder-facing insights. You’ll partner with engineering, product, operations, and analytics teams to transform raw data into actionable intelligence that drives strategic and operational decisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement scalable pipelines to ingest, clean, and transform large, complex datasets for business analytics and reporting.
  • Build self-service dashboards and data tools using SQL, Python, Tableau, or QuickSight to support cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Lead initiatives to audit data quality, identify gaps, and guide enhancements across cloud infrastructure and metadata systems.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to align BI solutions with evolving business goals, operational needs, and customer behavior trends.
  • Translate ambiguous business questions into concrete data strategies, delivering deep-dive insights and real-time analytics.
  • Drive innovation through experimentation with new data models, visualization techniques, and performance monitoring solutions.
  • Support data migrations, system integrations, and knowledge management as part of a broader business intelligence center of excellence.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 4–6 years of hands-on experience in SQL, Python, and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, QuickSight).
  • 2–5 years of experience working with large-scale, complex datasets and building analytics solutions from scratch.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud infrastructure, particularly AWS (Redshift, Glue, Andes, S3).
  • Background in statistics, programming, or marketing analytics; Bachelor's degree required (Master’s preferred).
  • Proven ability to collaborate across technical and business functions with a high level of ownership and accountability.
  • Demonstrated success building scalable, insight-driven systems that improve decision-making and operational efficiency.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with metadata management and knowledge repositories.
  • Statistical analysis or modeling experience.
  • Former experience in high-impact, vendor-facing or consumer-facing analytics environments.
