Who we are and what we're about:
KU Endowment is an independent, nonprofit organization and the official fundraising foundation for the University of Kansas. We partner with donors in providing philanthropic support to build a greater KU.
As an employee of KU Endowment, you'll witness firsthand the power of our donors' generosity. You will join a talented and fun group of people who are inspired to help KU through the support of loyal alumni and friends. This support fuels excellence, enabling students and faculty to develop innovative programs and research that distinguish the university. We connect the philanthropic passions of donors with the needs of students, faculty and programs - and everyone benefits.
People are engaged. Purpose is ignited. Lives are changed.
What we are looking for:
Are you a data artist with a technical edge? A Tableau wizard who sees patterns where others see chaos? KU Endowment is embarking on a data-driven future and we're calling on technically inclined, curious, creative minds to help us design, build, and launch the tools needed to turn our team into an industry leading data shop.
We're seeking a highly skilled Business Intelligence Developer to join our Business Intelligence team. This is more than a dashboard role, it's your chance to architect solutions, wrangle data, and power strategic decisions across our organization. You'll dive deep into Tableau and Tableau Prep, optimize performance, build seamless workflows, and turn raw data into stories that move our mission forward.
If you've got a handle on data modeling, and light up during brainstorming sessions to unravel complex questions-especially within Salesforce CRM environments like Ascend/Affinaquest-we're already intrigued. Bonus points if you dabble in SQL/SOQL, ETL, tinker with AI tools, or know a thing or two about Python, R, or data warehouse architecture.
But here's the thing: While technical chops are essential, we're really looking for that spark! We want creative dreamers and data enthusiasts, the one who brings a little weirdness to their work in the best way possible. If you can jazz up your technical projects with a creative touch, see data not just as numbers but as living stories, and secretly dream about becoming a data scientist then you might be the ace up our sleeve.
This role isn't for someone who wants to follow the script. We're building this department from the ground up, and we're looking for enthusiastic partners who get excited about starting with nothing and shaping something meaningful.
The individual in this position is expected to embrace KU Endowment's stated core values - collaboration, curiosity, empowerment, and excellence - and demonstrate support for them through professional interactions and activities.
