We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented entry to mid-level Business Intelligence (BI) Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in data analytics, reporting, and visualization, with experience in developing and maintaining BI solutions that drive business insights and decision-making. This role requires proficiency in BI tools, strong SQL skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to meet business needs. This role will support a US Government contract. As such, candidates must live in the Washington DC Metro area and be US Citizen’s to be considered. A DHS Suitability clearance is required.

Key Responsibilities

• Data Analysis and Reporting: Design, develop, and maintain robust BI dashboards and reports to support business operations and strategic decision-making.
• ETL Development: Build and optimize ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from multiple sources into data warehouses or BI platforms.
• Data Modeling: Create and maintain logical and physical data models to ensure data integrity and performance.
• Business Collaboration: Work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, understand business needs, and deliver tailored BI solutions.
• Performance Optimization: Ensure the performance, scalability, and reliability of BI applications by optimizing queries and data pipelines.
• Data Validation: Conduct thorough testing and validation of data to ensure accuracy and consistency across BI tools.
• Documentation: Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation for BI processes, reports, and dashboards.

Requirements

Education and Experience:

• US Citizen
• Ability to obtain a DHS Suitability clearance
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in BI development or data analysis roles.

Technical Skills:

• Must have experience with Tableau
• Proficiency with other BI tools such as Power BI or Qlik
• Strong SQL skills, with experience in writing complex queries and optimizing database performance.
• Experience with data warehousing concepts and tools (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, or similar).
• Familiarity with ETL tools such as SSIS, Talend, or Informatica.
• Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, R) for data processing and automation is a plus.
• Understanding of cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP) and their BI services is a plus.
