The Opportunity

Our Technology and Operations team is looking for an early career analyst that is ready to get hands-on with data and drive insights across the company. Our Technology and Operations team works cross-functionally on projects with many teams across the organization.

In this role, you’ll dig into our databases, support key reporting efforts, and help implement big data initiatives alongside experienced members of the team. We are looking for someone who’s curious, detail-oriented, and eager to develop their skills in Financial Reporting, SQL, and Power BI.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Aid in the continued buildout of Freestone’s internal reporting infrastructure
  • Validate data accuracy and ensure consistency across reports and visualizations
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve data needs
  • Find bespoke and creative answers to complex problems
  • Develop into a subject matter expert in SQL and Power BI
  • Maintain a resilient, can-do attitude when working with imperfect data or evolving requirements
  • Work with the team to troubleshoot data issues and support ETL processes when needed

Your Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, Informatics, Finance, Economics, or Business Management preferred; other degrees will be considered
  • 1-2 years of experience in a business or data analyst role with preference given to candidates who also have financial services industry experience
  • 1+ of experience using data visualization software (Microsoft Power BI or Tableau)
  • Experience with Tamarac or other Wealth Management technology products a plus
  • Exceptional client service and interpersonal skills
  • High level of comfort working independently in a fast-paced environment and a keen sense of when to escalate urgent issues as necessary
  • Ambitious sense of curiosity with refined listening skills
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Product Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, OneNote)
  • Facility with SQL, Power BI, & SharePoint
  • Strong problem-solving and research skills
  • Capacity to learn and excel at day-to-day responsibilities and contribute to driving process improvement, standardization and automation
  • Strong time management, and organizational skills
  • Enthusiasm when working in a collaborative and independent setting
  • Capacity and passion for being part of a fast-growing environment
  • Heightened attention to detail - must be meticulous and consistently accurate
  • High level of motivation; strong work ethic; proactive and results-oriented

  • The expected base salary for this position is $78,000 – $82,000 depending on experience and skill set
  • In addition, the position may be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on company and individual performance
