Job Title: Business Intelligence Analyst
Location: Basingstoke
Base: InstaVolt Head Office – Chineham Business Park, Basingstoke with flexibility to work from home 1 day a week.
Salary: Up to £50,000 per annum plus 10% annual discretionary bonus.

The role
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Business Intelligence Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for transforming complex data into clear insights that inform key business decisions. Reporting to the Head of FP&A, you will develop and maintain reporting tools, data models, and dashboards using Power BI and Excel, while also driving improvements in data integrity and supporting strategic initiatives such as site selection and KPI tracking.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyse network and market performance data to uncover trends, opportunities, and risks.
- Develop and maintain a robust Power BI data model to support scalable and efficient reporting.
- Design, develop, and maintain a comprehensive Power BI reporting suite of reports and dashboards.
- Enhance and support existing Excel-based data tools, ensuring accuracy and usability.
- Develop and maintain a KPI reporting framework that provides stakeholders with timely performance insights.
- Lead the development and enhancement of a site selection tool to support location-based decision-making.
- Define and manage data integrity processes to ensure reliable, high-quality data across systems.
- Identify, access, and integrate new data sources to broaden analytical capabilities and support business growth.
Key skills and experience required
- Proven experience in a business intelligence, data analysis, or reporting-focused role.
- Strong proficiency in Power BI – including data modelling, DAX, and report/dashboard creation.
- Advanced Excel skills, including Power Query, pivot tables, and complex formulas.
- Experience with data quality, validation, and data governance practices.
- Comfortable working with large datasets and transforming raw data into meaningful insights.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate analytical findings clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
Desirable
- Experience with SQL or other data query languages.
- Experience integrating Snowflake as a data source within Power BI.
- Familiarity with GIS or site planning tools is a plus.
