Job Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Head of Business Development to lead our enterprise sales efforts, with a specific focus on driving growth in our AI and automation solutions. This strategic leadership role will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive business development strategies to acquire new enterprise clients globally, particularly in India and the US market. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the enterprise software landscape, a proven track record of selling complex AI and automation solutions, and exceptional leadership and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Business Development: Develop and implement a robust business development strategy aligned with the company's overall growth objectives, specifically targeting enterprise clients for AI and automation solutions.
  • Identify and prioritize key target markets, industries, and potential enterprise accounts globally, with a strong emphasis on India the US market.
  • Conduct thorough market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities and develop differentiated value propositions for our AI and automation offerings.
  • Define clear sales targets, KPIs, and revenue projections for the enterprise AI and automation business.
  • Enterprise Sales Leadership: Provide guidance, coaching, and support to the team in all aspects of the sales cycle, from lead generation to deal closure.
  • Foster a collaborative and results-driven sales culture within the team.
  • Oversee the development of compelling sales presentations, proposals, and contracts tailored to enterprise client needs.
  • Client Acquisition and Relationship Management: Personally engage with key enterprise prospects, building strong, long-term relationships with C-level executives and other key decision-makers.
  • Understand complex enterprise business challenges and articulate how our AI and automation solutions can provide tangible value and ROI.
  • Manage and nurture a pipeline of qualified enterprise leads, ensuring effective progression through the sales process.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to build brand awareness and generate leads. 
  • Solution Expertise and Collaboration: Maintain a deep understanding of our AI and automation service offerings, including machine learning, natural language processing, robotic process automation (RPA), intelligent automation, and related technologies.
  • Collaborate closely with technical teams (AI/ML engineers, automation specialists, software architects) to develop tailored solutions that meet enterprise client requirements.
  • Provide valuable market feedback to the product and service development teams to ensure our offerings remain competitive and aligned with enterprise needs.
  • Sales Operations and Reporting:Establish and manage efficient sales processes and workflows, leveraging CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) for pipeline management and reporting.
  • Track and analyze sales performance metrics, providing regular reports to senior management on progress against targets and key initiatives.
  • Develop accurate sales forecasts and contribute to the overall business planning process.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. MBA or relevant advanced degree is a plus.
  • Proven track record (minimum [Number] years) of successful business development and sales experience, specifically selling complex software solutions, with a significant focus on AI and automation to enterprise clients. 
  • Deep understanding of the enterprise software sales cycle and the challenges and opportunities associated with selling AI and automation solutions.
  • Established network of contacts within enterprise organizations in India and the US market.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication (written and verbal), presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong business acumen and the ability to understand and articulate the business value of technical solutions to executive-level audiences.
  • Experience in developing and executing successful sales strategies for new markets and technologies.
  • Proficiency in using CRM systems and sales analytics tools.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience selling to specific industries relevant to our AI and automation focus (e.g., finance, healthcare, manufacturing, retail).
  • Familiarity with different enterprise procurement processes and decision-making units.
  • Experience building and managing high-performing sales teams in a global context.
  • Understanding of relevant AI and automation industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies.
