Couto Construction, a second-generation, family-managed leader in exterior remodeling since 1987, is expanding into the commercial sector! We specialize in roofing, siding, windows, and decks for commercial properties across Massachusetts and Rhode Island.
Position:
We’re looking for a driven, relationship-focused Business Development Specialist to generate commercial leads, build partnerships with General Contractors (GCs), Property Managers, and Architects, and secure bidding opportunities on large-scale projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop & Expand Commercial Partnerships
- Build relationships with GCs, architects, developers, and property managers to secure new business opportunities
- Attend industry networking events, trade shows, and real estate expos to connect with decision-makers
- Conduct lunch-and-learns, meet-and-greets, and site visits to showcase Couto Construction’s capabilities
Drive Revenue & Lead Generation
- Research and identify upcoming commercial construction projects in MA & RI
- Maintain a pipeline of qualified leads and schedule meetings with key stakeholders
- Collaborate with our estimating and production teams to submit competitive bids
Engage in Strategic Marketing & Outreach
- Represent Couto Construction at Boston Constructions Summits, JLC LIVE, NAWIC, and IREM events
- Partner with industry associations to co-host educational events for property managers and architects
- Utilize LinkedIn, industry directories, and cold outreach strategies to secure high-value accounts
Qualifications:
- 3+ years in construction, commercial real estate, or exterior remodeling sales
- Existing relationships with GCs, developers, or property managers
- Ability to pitch, present, and close deals with decision-makers
- Thrive in a fast-paced, results-driven environment
- Proficient in CRM systems, LinkedIn networking, and construction bid platforms
- Valid driver’s license and willing to travel across Massachusetts and Rhode Island for client meetings and site visits

Compensation: Base salary for this position is $60-75k, varying by experience. In addition, you will have the opportunity to earn uncapped commission on a percentage of secured contracts, as well as quarterly & annual incentives for achieving revenue goals
