Summary

Summary: The Decypher Business Development Representative is responsible for establishing productive business relationships with prospective clients who need custom software solutions to improve business efficiency and data visibility. The successful candidate will work as a strategic bridge between clients and Decypher's technical team, helping organizations understand how our solutions address challenges that off-the-shelf software cannot solve. You'll be integral to Decypher's growth strategy as we expand our reach in key industries where we have proven success.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Identify and engage with medium to large companies (20+ employees) in target industries that could benefit from Decypher's custom software solutions

• Build and nurture relationships with prospective clients through a consultative sales approach

• Serve as the bridge between technical teams and clients, translating business challenges into potential technical solutions

• Facilitate the design-first process by arranging discovery meetings between prospects and Decypher's technical team

• Maintain detailed activity and opportunity tracking in our CRM system

• Collaborate with technical teams to understand the full scope of Decypher's capabilities and communicate these effectively to prospects

• Represent Decypher at industry events focused on construction, insurance, finance, and manufacturing

• Generate weekly reports on pipeline development and sales activities for leadership review


Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of experience in B2B technical sales, preferably in software, consulting, or related services

• Demonstrated success in consultative selling environment

• Experience selling complex solutions that require understanding of business processes

• Excellent communication skills with ability to translate technical concepts to business terms and vice versa

• Self-motivated with proven ability to develop and execute territory plans

• Experience with CRM systems, preferably Pipedrive

• Knowledge of or experience in at least one of our target industries: construction, insurance, finance, or manufacturing

• Understanding of how custom software differs from packaged solutions and ability to articulate this difference to prospects

• Bachelor's degree preferred, particularly in business, technology, or related field

• Proven success in managing complex sales cycles with multiple stakeholders

• Client satisfaction with pre-sales experience
