Overview

Naylor Association Solutions is the leading provider of member engagement and non-dues revenue solutions for more than 1,600 associations. Naylor helps trade and professional associations drive revenue and engage members through a variety of integrated solutions including print and digital media, event management, SaaS solutions, and association management services.


We are currently seeking a candidate to join our Revenue team as a Business Development Representative to assist with identifying opportunities to grow company revenue. As our Business Development Representative, you will be responsible for setting discovery calls with qualified prospects for our Business Development Directors. To be successful in this role, you must develop in-depth knowledge of our solutions and articulate their value to our prospects. In this role, you will create and execute sales campaigns, gather important business intelligence, and work strategically with corporate-level marketing and business development teams.


In this role, you will have exposure to real-world, on-the-job training to help you develop the sales skills and solution knowledge to be a highly successful sales professional. The ideal candidate may be based out of the Mclean, VA office, working a hybrid schedule (both in-office and work from home).


Responsibilities

  • Discovery Call Appointments: Set at minimum 10 discovery calls per month for our account executives by responding to inbound interests and conducting targeted 1:1 high-touch campaigns to outbound prospects.
  • Inbound Lead Follow Up: Drive leads into opportunities by creating and executing follow up outreach to inbound MQLs. Actively engage in business intelligence gathering to identify potential opportunities.
  • Outbound Sales Outreach: Conduct targeted outreach activities against qualified accounts with the goal of setting discovery calls.
  • CRM Management: Update and manage all sales activities, opportunities, and account information in the CRM system, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.


Qualifications

  • 1 - 2 years of experience as a BDR or SDR, preferably with a history of achieving or exceeding KPIs.
  • Bachelor’s or associate’s degree, or equivalent work experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong ability to multi-task, organize, and prioritize work effectively.
  • Self-motivated with a go-getter attitude and a creative approach to problem-solving.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and CRM tools (preferably Salesforce).
  • Must possess proven skills in telephone sales and customer relationship building. Must be able to ask questions, listen, build rapport, and bring the client to “yes”.
  • Must be a highly self-motivated individual, with strong organizational and time management skills, attention to detail and the capacity to work with limited direct supervision.
  • Experience with software sales or the association space is a significant plus.
