About the Role - We are seeking a proactive and results-driven Business Development Representative to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for engaging with inbound sales inquiries, driving product and service sales, and building strong customer relationships. You will leverage CRM tools and sales engagement platforms to manage leads, upsell, cross-sell, and qualify opportunities effectively. The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of experience in sales or lead generation, preferably in the furniture industry, and a passion for achieving sales targets. Strong communication, organizational skills, and adaptability are key to success in this fast-paced environment. Responsibilities

  • Respond promptly and professionally to inbound sales inquiries via phone, email, chat, Marketing Qualified Leads (MQLs), and customer service cases.
  • Develop expertise in the company’s products, target buyers, and key tools such as Salesforce CRM, High Velocity Sales, Vonage, and Microsoft Outlook.
  • Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling to enhance customer value.
  • Drive urgency in the sales process, effectively closing deals over the phone.
  • Assess whether opportunities require services, and determine the appropriate course of action for the customer.
  • For service-based opportunities, qualify leads and schedule meetings for the sales team.
  • Assist in and facilitate virtual product tours for potential customers.
  • Maintain strong follow-up on open quotes, influencing prospects to move forward with a purchase.
  • Educate prospective customers on the benefits and features of products/services, addressing their needs through calls, emails, and chats.
  • Collaborate with team members and other departments to ensure a smooth customer experience, sharing insights and feedback with leadership.
  • Utilize tools like Salesforce, sales engagement platforms, Vonage, and New Voice Media to optimize performance and follow-up activities.
  • Manage sales cadences within Sales Engagement platforms, staying current on product knowledge, industry trends, and sales techniques.
  • Foster strong internal relationships and coordinate with sales support teams to enhance communication.
  • Meet and exceed monthly sales targets, KPIs, and performance goals.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of customer interactions and sales activities in CRM systems.
  • Conduct discovery calls and engage in consultative conversations to understand customer needs and goals.
  • Work closely with the sales team to schedule appointments, demos, and transition qualified leads.


Qualifications

  • Experience: 1-2 years of experience in a sales or lead generation role, ideally in the furniture industry. Experience with CRM tools is a plus.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage and influence potential customers.
  • Sales Mindset: A results-driven individual with a passion for achieving sales goals and expanding the customer base.
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and stay detail-oriented in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Adaptability: Open to learning and adapting quickly to new sales techniques, market trends, and product offerings.
  • Tech-Savvy: Comfortable using sales automation tools, CRM software, and other digital platforms to optimize workflows and productivity.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required.
