Salary: Base $50k-$60k, Variable $20k-$25k

DealRoom seeks a driven Business Development Representative (BDR) with a winning mindset to exceed revenue goals through outbound opportunities. Why was DealRoom started?

Founded in 2012 in Chicago by former M&A advisor Kison Patel, DealRoom addresses technological gaps hindering deal success in the financial industry. With a client-oriented culture, DealRoom has grown to 50+ employees, remains self-funded, and is expanding rapidly. Our growth encompasses both DealRoom's software solutions and the M&A Science Podcast, which recently celebrated its 300th podcast episode!


Responsibilities:

  • Meet or exceed Weekly Activity Goals
  • Meet or exceed Monthly Sales Qualified Lead Quota
  • Meet or exceed Quarterly Revenue Attribution Target
  • Research investment banking, corporate development, and private equity firms to understand evolving trends and unique challenges.
  • Develop targeted prospect lists in HubSpot CRM database of 100k+ companies,  sourcing key decision-makers as needed.
  • Curate net-new targeted prospect lists from LinkedIn, Grata, CrunchBase and similar sources, growing the CRM database.
  • Deploy effective prospecting strategies through personalized outreach to high-value companies, utilizing both reactive and cold prospecting methods. This includes a phone-heavy, multi-threaded, omnichannel approach to drive interest in DealRoom.
  • Qualify prospects based on their current business needs and challenges.
  • Schedule demonstrations and discovery calls for Account Executives (AE).
  • Continuously experiment, test, analyze, and improve sourcing, prospecting, and qualification tactics always striving for 1% betterment.
  • Demonstrate a willingness to learn and implement best practices to enhance your sales development process.


Who you are:

  • A problem-solver with 1+ year(s) of lead generation or sales prospecting experience, demonstrating a strong figure-it-out factor in navigating complex sales environments
  • An effective communicator with outstanding phone and writing skills, showcasing business acumen through compelling messaging and insightful questioning
  • Self-motivated and highly organized, with a sense of urgency and persistence
  • Exceptional self-discipline and autonomy, with strong time management skills.
  • Genuinely empathetic towards prospects, leveraging active listening skills to understand and address their needs.
  • Coachable with strong interpersonal and presentation skills, open to feedback and continuously looking for opportunities to improve
  • Resilient and persistent, with a commitment to win that drives you to overcome obstacles and consistently meet targets
  • Thirsty for knowledge and growth in a start-up environment, embracing challenges with an analytical mindset
  • Proactive and solution-oriented, with a sense of urgency that propels you to take ownership of your responsibilities and outcomes


Required Certifications before Start Date:

  • HubSpot Sales Software Certification
  • HubSpot Inbound Sales Certification
