Summary

Main Purpose of the Role:

Contribute in generating sales and increase book of business thru new business identification and in line with Trade campaigns. Build customer performance up to transition to Account Owner level management.


Main Tasks:

  • Perform outbound calls to potential and current customers
  • Close sales and meet monthly sales goals in accordance with the development plan
  • Qualify customers' sales potential and plan activities to increase book of business
  • Analyze relevant customers for targeted sales campaigns and build a work plan to increase sales
  • Communicate closely with trade and cross-functional teams on market intelligence, service updates, customer challenges and opportunities
  • ZRM Focal point for all internal and web leads. Assign to the appropriate individual for handling.
  • Provide guidance and coaching to the Business Development Team
  • Communicate, implement, and monitor Business Development goals/targets in line with company business/financial objectives.
  • Exercises sound judgment and engage in high-impact decision-making, regarding commercial sales considerations, while maintaining commitment to integrity and accountability.
  • Analyzes situations and views the implications of certain decisions from a critical perspective
  • Follow and use sales best practice and tools
  • Monitor and report sales goals/targets/KPIs in line with company’s objectives
  • Forecast sales activities and set personal/company goals accordingly


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, preferred
  • 3 - 4 years' prior industry related business development experience
  • 2 – 3 Years management experience
  • 1 to 2 years tele-sales and or sales experience in the ocean shipping or related industry.
  • Intermediate Excel Proficiency Level
