Summary

Business Development Manager – Small Satellite Bus Sales


This new and exciting business is on a mission to transform space access through agile, reliable satellite platforms and they are looking for a Business Development Manager to join their growing team. Based in San Francisco, you’ll play a key role in expanding our small satellite bus business across both commercial markets and eventually, federal markets.


What You’ll Do:

  • Drive new business development through proactive outreach, relationship building, and closing deals with government and commercial customers.
  • Own the full sales cycle—from lead generation to contract execution—with a hunter mindset and strong closing ability.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, product, and executive teams to tailor offerings and align on customer needs.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and key customer meetings.
  • Help define marketing strategy with the senior leadership


What You’ll Bring:

  • 2+ years of experience selling space-qualified hardware or platforms into the space industry.
  • Proven success selling to both commercial and federal customers, or able to show a network of satellite manufacturer industry players.
  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering
  • A natural hunter and closer, with strong deal ownership and pipeline management.
  • Excellent communicator and team player who thrives in a mission-driven, collaborative environment.
  • Passion for advancing space capabilities and enabling next-gen satellite missions.


Location: San Francisco, CA (Hybrid: 1–2 weeks onsite/month, remainder remote or on customer site)
