Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and seize new business opportunities, conducting market research to identify potential clients and industries.

  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as the primary point of contact for new business prospects.
  • Lead negotiations and close deals with new clients, ensuring favourable terms and conditions for the company.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including operations, sales, and customer service, to ensure seamless service delivery for new clients.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on business development activities, including sales performance, market trends, and client feedback.
  • Attend industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to promote the company's services and build a strong professional network.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and developments to identify new opportunities and stay ahead of competitors.
  • Develop and implement strategies to retain new clients and ensure long-term partnerships, contributing to business growth.
  • Provide training and support to junior team members, sharing best practices and industry knowledge.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the freight forwarding industry, with a focus on business development.
  • Proven track record in hunting for new business, with a history of successfully securing new clients and achieving sales targets.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and internal teams.
