Summary

Robert Half Marketing & Creative is partnering with a rapidly growing national HR services company recognized on the Inc. 5000 list, to find a Business Development Manager – Inside Sales to lead and scale their inside sales function in Northbrook, IL.


This is a high-impact leadership role with the opportunity to shape a best-in-class outbound sales engine, develop top-performing reps, and directly influence strategic growth. The ideal candidate brings experience building outbound sales teams, fluency in Salesforce and sales automation, and a collaborative, metrics-driven mindset.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and grow the Inside Sales team in a hybrid office environment.
  • Build and optimize an outbound sales engine utilizing Salesforce, sales automation, and analytics tools.
  • Collaborate with marketing on inbound campaigns to drive qualified pipeline.
  • Set and manage sales KPIs, quotas, and performance metrics aligned with corporate objectives.
  • Coach and mentor reps through consistent training, sales enablement, and skills development.
  • Ensure accuracy and compliance across reports, commissions, and sales documentation.
  • Foster cross-functional collaboration between sales, marketing, and leadership.


Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in a leadership or management role within Inside Sales.
  • Track record of building and scaling outbound B2B sales teams.
  • Strong proficiency in Salesforce and sales automation platforms.
  • Analytical and results-driven; experienced in managing sales KPIs.
  • Knowledge of the PEO industry is a plus, but not required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field preferred.
  • Experience fostering a strong in-office team culture.
