We are representing a reputable provider of commercial cleaning and integrated facility maintenance solutions, serving a diverse range of clients across education, healthcare, commercial, and industrial sectors.


Position Summary:

Our client is seeking a results-driven Business Development Manager to lead growth initiatives across Upstate New York. This role will focus on identifying, developing, and securing new business opportunities in commercial janitorial and facilities services. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong industry knowledge, exceptional networking skills, and the ability to deliver value-driven solutions to prospective clients.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and pursue new sales opportunities in targeted sectors including commercial, educational, healthcare, and industrial facilities.
  • Manage the entire sales cycle from lead generation to contract close.
  • Build strong relationships with key decision-makers such as property managers, facility directors, procurement officers, and building owners.
  • Conduct site visits and needs assessments to develop tailored proposals and cleaning service plans.
  • Collaborate with estimating and operations teams to prepare and deliver accurate bids and presentations.
  • Track and report on sales activity, pipeline status, and market intelligence using CRM tools.
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities across the Upstate NY region.
  • Stay current with industry trends, competitive landscape, and local market dynamics.


Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of B2B sales experience in janitorial services, facility management, or a related service-based industry.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and business development KPIs.
  • Deep understanding of cleaning/facility services delivery models and pricing structures.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently while managing a regional territory.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and Microsoft Office.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel throughout the Upstate NY region.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience selling to sectors such as education, healthcare, manufacturing, or multi-tenant commercial properties.
  • Knowledge of green cleaning standards, infection control protocols, or OSHA guidelines.
