The Role: Business Development


We're seeking a driven, entrepreneurial, and technically-savvy Business Development professional to join our growing team and work on the adoption of Apollo. You’ll be introducing a groundbreaking technology to the market, initially focusing on consumer companies mostly. This role requires more than just lead generation; it demands the ability to articulate a unique, high-impact value proposition centred on reliability, performance, and control that current AI solutions cannot match. You’ll be at the forefront of our growth, turning curiosity about truly functional AI agents into tangible business opportunities.


What You'll Do:


  • Identify and strategically engage potential partners and customers who can significantly benefit from Apollo's unique capabilities.
  • Qualify inbound and outbound leads, building and managing a robust pipeline of high-value opportunities where Apollo's advantages are clear differentiators.
  • Articulate how Apollo's unique neuro-symbolic architecture, granular control features (including rule-setting and fine-tuning), and proven performance advantages (demonstrating 10-20x improvements in key tasks) translate into tangible business value such as enhanced reliability, higher task success rates, improved customer experience, and unprecedented customization.
  • Collaborate closely with product and leadership teams, and our strategic partners on providing crucial market feedback on our novel capabilities to refine messaging and go-to-market strategies for a first-of-its-kind product. Apollo has a self-serve platform launching soon and you will work on onboarding select customers into the self-serve environment as well.
  • Represent AUI and Apollo with passion and expertise at industry events, in client meetings, and across digital channels to build awareness and excitement for our pioneering technology.


Who We're Looking For:


  • Someone energized by the ambiguity and pace of an AI startup launching a category-defining product.
  • A highly persuasive communicator and storyteller, adept at conveying the value of truly novel technology, simplifying complex concepts, and building excitement around a pioneering solution.
  • Intellectually curious and passionate about the future of AI, particularly the shift towards truly functional and reliable AI agents.
  • A level of seriousness, accountability and execution consistent with the above.


Requirements:


  • 3-4 years of business development, sales, or partnership experience, ideally within a fast-moving tech startup environment
  • Deep interest and understanding of the AI landscape, particularly conversational AI, agent technology, and the known limitations of current LLM-based approaches. Ability to quickly grasp and articulate the unique benefits of our neuro-symbolic architecture
  • Proven success in a previous role
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage technical and non-technical audiences
  • Self-starter attitude with a bias toward action, experimentation, and achieving measurable results
  • (Bonus) Experience selling highly technical or differentiated platform solutions
  • (Bonus) Familiarity with the challenges and needs of enterprise AI adoption



New York Candidates: The expected total compensation for this position is between $175k – $300k OTE (On-Target Earnings) for New York State residents and is dependent on experience and qualifications.
