Summary

At MCR International, we are seeking a Business Development Manager for a health sector start-up. The ideal candidate will have experience in establishing, overseeing, and optimizing an international distribution network.


The role focuses on identifying, developing, and managing distributor relationships, ensuring smooth export operations, and supporting business growth in global markets. The Business Development Manager will work closely with the Strategic Operating Partner to ensure our products reach key markets efficiently and effectively.

The ideal candidate has experience in building and managing international distribution networks, preferably within the ophthalmology or medical device sectors. Strong negotiation skills, relationship management, and knowledge of international logistics and regulations are essential for success in this role.


Responsibilities:

  • Identify, establish, and manage partnerships with international distributors.
  • Develop and implement a structured distribution strategy aligned with business objectives.
  • Lead contract negotiations and agreements with distributors, ensuring mutually beneficial terms.
  • Monitor distributor performance and ensure alignment with company goals.
  • Coordinate export logistics, documentation, and compliance with international trade regulations.
  • Support distributors with sales activities by providing product training and guidance.
  • Attend international trade fairs and congresses to strengthen distributor networks and explore new market opportunities.
  • Manage export-related tasks, including internal production orders and budgets.
  • Maintain and update the CRM system with distributor and export information.
  • Work closely with internal teams to align export strategies with broader business goals.
  • Provide post-sales support and maintain strong engagement with distributors.


Requirements:

  • Experience in export management, international trade, or distributor relations.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish (mandatory).
  • Experience in ophthalmology and/or medical devices.
  • Knowledge of international trade regulations, logistics, and customs procedures.
  • University degree, preferably in Business or Health Sciences.
  • Excellent negotiation and relationship management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple markets and partners simultaneously.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving mindset.
  • Availability and willingness to travel frequently.
  • Proactive and adaptable to changing market conditions.
  • Workplace: Tres Cantos (Madrid), with a hybrid work model after the initial training period.
