Summary

Business Development Manager (Hunter Role)

Location: Davis County/Weber County/Box Elder County/Cache County

Are you a driven, relentless sales professional who thrives on building new relationships and closing deals? Do you love being out in the field, turning cold leads into lasting partnerships? Proactive Health is looking for a hunter—a self-motivated, high-energy individual who can identify and secure new referral partners across their assigned region.

This is not a maintenance role. This is a build-from-scratch, grind-it-out, create-opportunity-where-it-doesn’t-exist kind of role. If you’re hungry to grow, eager to win, and passionate about helping seniors and their families get the care they need, this is your opportunity.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Partner Development & Prospecting (Primary Focus)

  • Identify, reach out to, and secure new referral partners in your geographic territory.
  • Schedule and lead meetings to pitch our services and get buy-in from partners.
  • Follow up consistently to move partners from interest to action.
  • Own your territory—build a pipeline, track activity, and bring in new business.

2. Referral Growth Strategy

  • Develop and execute territory-specific strategies to maximize partner referrals.
  • Maintain strong communication and visibility with partners to encourage ongoing engagement.

3. Patient-Focused Sales Support

  • When referrals come in, support the transition by explaining our services to patients and families (by phone and in person).
  • Answer questions, overcome objections, and guide them through the onboarding process.

4. Coordination & Communication

  • Work with the admissions and clinical teams to ensure smooth onboarding.
  • Confirm accurate patient information and coordinate service installation.
  • Maintain detailed activity logs and partner tracking in CRM.
Who We’re Looking For:
  • A natural prospector who isn’t afraid to cold call, visit clinics, and create their own momentum.
  • At least 2 years of sales, business development, or field outreach experience (healthcare experience is a plus, but not required).
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Extremely organized and results-driven—someone who thrives with autonomy.
  • Willingness to travel within a local region to meet partners and patients.
What You’ll Get:
  • Competitive base salary (DOE) + strong performance-based commission.
  • Flexible schedule and remote work environment.
  • Ongoing training, support, and career development.
  • The opportunity to make a real difference in people’s lives while growing your sales career.
