Job Summary:

The Business Development Lead/Manager is responsible for driving business growth by identifying new opportunities, developing strategic partnerships, and expanding the bank’s customer base. The role involves market research, product development, sales strategy execution, and achieving revenue targets in alignment with the bank’s commercial objectives.


Job Responsibilities:

·      Develop and execute strategic business development plans to drive revenue growth.

·      Identify and establish relationships with potential clients, partners, and stakeholders.

·      Analyze market trends and competitor activities to enhance business strategies.

·      Collaborate with product teams to design and refine financial products suited for target customers.

·      Lead the sales team to achieve set targets and expand market penetration.

·      Ensure excellent customer service and retention strategies.

·      Monitor and report on business performance metrics to senior management.

·      Support the digital transformation strategy to enhance financial inclusion and customer experience.

·      Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements in all business development activities.

·      Represent the bank in industry events, networking, and stakeholder engagements.


Job Qualification & Requirements:

·      Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, or a related field (Master’s degree is a plus).

·      Minimum of 8 years of experience in business development, sales, or marketing in a financial institution.

·      Strong leadership skills with a track record of achieving business growth targets.

·      Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.

·      Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities.

·      Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and banking applications.

·      Knowledge of microfinance products, customer segmentation, and financial inclusion strategies.

·      Ability to work in a fast-paced and target-driven environment.
