Job Description

The primary goal of this role is to establish and grow a strong client base in the Dutch market, driving revenue and supporting the company's European expansion strategy.

Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To

Market Research & Strategy

Analyse Dutch market trends and competitor activities to inform strategic decisions and optimise the company's business model for local success.

  • Marketing & Product Promotion Coordinate marketing initiatives aligned with the company's promotion strategy, assess customer needs, and support the optimisation or launch of tailored insurance products.
  • Business Development & Planning Develop and execute business plans in line with the company's growth objectives, with a focus on achieving revenue targets in the Dutch insurance market.
  • Sales & Channel Development Establish and expand distribution channels by building strong partnerships with local brokers and agents to increase market penetration.
  • Client Relationship Management Drive new business and maintain long-term relationships with key clients, focusing on customer satisfaction, retention, and loyalty.
  • Performance Monitoring & Optimization Track and analyze business performance, using data insights to refine strategies and improve sales outcomes.
  • Compliance & Risk Management Ensure all activities adhere to Dutch regulatory requirements and internal company policies to mitigate compliance and operational risks.

The Successful Applicant

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or higher, preferably in Business, Finance, or a related field
  • At least 8 years of experience in the insurance industry
  • Minimum 5 years of proven success in sales and marketing within the Dutch Commercial Property/Casualty insurance market

Skills & Capabilities

  • Fluent in both Dutch and English (written and spoken); proficiency in French, German, or Chinese is an advantage
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively engage internal teams and external stakeholders
  • Team-oriented with a collaborative mindset and a high level of professionalism
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of managing tasks independently while meeting tight deadlines
  • Client-focused with a strong understanding of customer and intermediary needs
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access)

Other Requirements

  • Solid understanding of Dutch insurance laws, regulations, and compliance requirements
  • Candidates with an existing client base and strong industry network will be given preference
