Summary

A leading provider of residential and commercial products is seeking a Business Development Manager to grow their residential market share and strengthen client relationships. The ideal candidate is a results-oriented sales professional with strong communication skills and a strategic mindset.



Salary + Additional Benefits:

Location: Houston, TX – Hybrid – 75% Local Travel

Type of Position: Direct Hire



Responsibilities:


  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the single-family and commercial construction sectors.
  • Develop and implement targeted sales strategies to grow market share among builders, contractors, and commercial clients.
  • Oversee expansion activities across residential and commercial segments to drive sustained growth.
  • Initiate marketing campaigns, assess their effectiveness, and maintain accurate performance reporting.
  • Build and nurture strong relationships with builders, contractors, and developers to understand their needs and deliver tailored solutions.
  • Advise clients on design concepts and assist with the bidding process to position the company competitively.
  • Stay up to date with product offerings and industry developments to effectively communicate product benefits.
  • Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, customer preferences, and competitive positioning.
  • Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing sales team aligned with company goals.
  • Collaborate closely with internal departments to ensure smooth project execution and high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development initiatives to support continuous improvement.
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to enhance brand visibility and build strategic partnerships.



Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in a B2B Business Development role
  • Sales experience working in residential construction, new home construction, remodels, production homes
  • Ability to travel 75% of the time within Houston and the surrounding areas.
  • Strong MS Office skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
