Are you a driven B2B sales professional looking for an opportunity to build a sales department from scratchProPay HR, a growing managed payroll service provider, is looking for a Business Development Manager to drive new client acquisition and expand our reach beyond our established Healthcare base into new industries.


We’ve doubled in size over the past two years, and now we’re taking things to the next level—expanding our customer portfolio and adding to the company in a scalable, strategic way. While we’ve built a strong reputation for accuracy, compliance, and hands-on service, we’ve never had a dedicated sales team—until now. This is your chance to define our sales strategy, processes, and future growth path while selling a high-value, in-demand service.


What You’ll Do

  • Develop & Execute a Sales Strategy – Identify new industries, build a pipeline, and create a structured, repeatable sales process.
  • Sell Our Payroll Solutions – Understand client needs and demonstrate how ProPay HR’s fully managed payroll services streamline operations, ensure compliance, and improve efficiency.
  • Lead Full-Cycle Sales Efforts – Generate leads, conduct outreach, present solutions, negotiate contracts, and close deals.
  • Establish Sales Infrastructure – Implement CRM tools, reporting systems, and best practices to support a scalable sales function.
  • Collaborate with Leadership – Work closely with the executive team to align sales with company goals and client needs.
  • Prepare for Future Growth – As the first sales hire, you’ll play a pivotal role in building and leading a future sales team.


What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years of B2B service sales experience, preferably in payroll, HR, outsourced services, or financial solutions.
  • hunter mentality with a track record of prospecting, closing new business, and building long-term client relationships.
  • Experience selling to small and mid-sized businesses across multiple industries.
  • Strong ability to educate and consult clients on service-based solutions that solve operational pain points.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset—comfortable building a sales function from the ground up in a growing company.
  • Leadership potential—ready to grow into a Sales Director role as we expand the team.
