Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Marketing, Business Administration or relevant field/exp.
  • Minimum 10+ years’ sales experience with proven success in prior sales roles.


Client provides turnkey engineering / manufactured solutions to several industries to include oil and gas, power generation, and heavy industrial sectors.


Job Summary:

The Business Development Professional will be responsible for leading and achieving maximum sales profitability, growth and market penetration for the Business. The role will encompass contacting and securing new business accounts and customers, and promoting, selling and securing contracts from existing and prospective customers through a relationship-based approach. Demonstrates products and services to existing and potential customers and assists them in selecting those best suited to their needs. Applies innovative approaches and strategies to identify new prospects and convert new business.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Business development through sales calls and visits to existing and prospective customers.
  • Provides customer support through customer service, answering product support questions and resolving issues in a timely manner while acting as the intermediary between the customer and company staff.
  • Cultivates lasting customer relationships, understands business needs of customers and grows customer loyalty.
  • Ability to read drawings, prepare take-offs, analyze customer needs, and develop proposals for fulfilling customer needs.
  • Implementation of overall sales strategy for the business.
  • Keeps management informed by submitting activity reports, such as weekly sales reports, quoting reports and sales activity by customer.
  • Understands cost, competition, and supply and demand trends to manage pricing activities.
  • Works with Project Managers and other sales team members to ensure scheduling projects ensures timely delivery to customer.
  • Continued growth of the business units with an emphasis on safety, quality, and profitability.
  • Regular travel to customer Location, and Project Sites is required.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Knowledge of sales/marketing strategy design and implementation.
  • Strong MS Project skills, and full Microsoft Office Suite products, especially PowerPoint.
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English is a plus – not required
