Title: Business Development Manager
Location: Hybrid option in Aliso Viejo, CA or Austin, TX - Open to remote (30%+ travel)
Compensation: Base $100K-120K + $20K-30K bonus (OTE: $120K-$150K)
Who We Are: We are a global independent distributor of electronic components servicing a variety of verticals. Since 2015, we have grown to 22 locations in 15 countries. We have 40+ franchise lines and 3,500+ suppliers.
Position Overview
The Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving the growth of the company by identifying new business opportunities and building strong relationships with clients in the electronic components industry. This role requires a strategic thinker with a solid understanding of sales and business development processes. This is the front-end of the sales cycle, generating new pipeline for our account manager team.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the electronic components market
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve company targets
- Conduct market research to identify trends and customer needs
- Collaborate with the marketing team to align strategies and campaigns
- Prepare and deliver presentations to potential clients and partners
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients
- Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to inform business decisions
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in sales or business development, in component brokerage
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field
- Strong understanding of electronic components and distribution market
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite
