THE ROLE
We are seeking a hardworking, well-connected, and results-driven Business Development & Client Engagement Manager to lead our client acquisition efforts and drive growth. This person will be responsible for selling IT consulting services, managing client relationships, and ensuring successful project execution.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Business Development & Sales
- Identify, develop, and close new business opportunities for Marquise’s IT consulting services.
- Build and maintain a pipeline of prospective clients, leveraging industry connections and strategic outreach.
- Develop tailored sales pitches and proposals to align with client needs.
- Collaborate with marketing to generate leads through events, networking, and digital channels.
Client Engagement & Account Management
- Serve as the primary relationship manager for new and existing clients, ensuring high satisfaction and long-term partnerships.
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients, helping them understand the benefits of ERP (Microsoft Dynamics 365) and other technology solutions.
- Oversee project delivery in collaboration with technical teams, ensuring projects stay on track and meet client expectations.
- Proactively address client concerns and facilitate solutions.
Strategy & Growth
- Develop and execute a sales strategy to drive revenue growth.
- Identify opportunities for expanding Marquise’s service offerings and partnerships.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies to position Marquise as a leader in IT consulting.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Experience & Network
- 5+ years of experience in IT consulting sales, ERP sales (Microsoft Dynamic Business Central), or enterprise software solutions.
- Strong network in industries that rely on ERP solutions, particularly in jewelry, manufacturing, or retail.
- Proven track record of hitting or exceeding sales targets.
Sales & Relationship Management Skills
- Strong ability to consultatively sell technology services and solutions.
- Exceptional relationship-building skills, with a reputation for trust and integrity.
- Experience managing full sales cycles, from lead generation to closing deals and post-sales support.
Industry & Technical Knowledge
- Understanding of ERP systems (preferably Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central) and IT consulting services.
- Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Mindset & Work Ethic
- Highly motivated, self-driven, and entrepreneurial with a growth mindset.
- Comfortable working in a startup-like environment, wearing multiple hats when needed.
