WAGO Corporation is seeking a dynamic and entrepreneurial Business Development Manager to drive growth in the data center market, focusing on automation solutions. The primary responsibilities of this individual are to develop and execute strategies to target key players, including hyperscalers, OEMs, and other major data center end users. This position requires leveraging technical expertise and market insights to develop innovative solutions that meet customer needs.
This position works in close alignment with sales, application engineering, and marketing teams to deliver comprehensive solutions tailored to customer needs. It acts in conjunction/partnership with product management and engineering to shape offerings that align with customer demands, including hardware, software, and integrated solutions.

Experience & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience in a technical discipline
Proven experience in industrial automation and controls, with a focus on sales or business development
Knowledge of industrial computing and/or IT concepts (preferred)
Demonstrated ability to thrive in unstructured environments, creating structure and driving results
Strong problem-solving skills and curiosity for emerging technologies
Self-motivated, detail-oriented individual with a passion for identifying new opportunities, persuasive/collaborative selling, and a strong work ethic
Must demonstrate ability to manage varied tasks and possess excellent organizational, computer, oral, and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills
Duties And Responsibilities
Develop and execute commercial strategies to expand WAGO’s presence in the data center automation market
Identify and build strategic relationships with key accounts, including hyperscalers and OEMs, fostering long-term partnerships
Gather and analyze market data to inform strategy and identify emerging opportunities
Communicate strategies effectively across regional and industry-specific campaigns, ensuring alignment and execution
Clear responsibility for defining and delivering against an Americas operational plan, including metrics to measure the success of delivered strategies
Additional Responsibilities
Must be able to travel via airplane
Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to operate an automobile for up to six hours at a time
Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs
Travel estimate 50%. International travel and travel to corporate headquarters will also be required on a periodic basis
