Job Summary:
As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for driving the growth of our business by nurturing relationships with existing clients and identifying net new business opportunities. You will play a key role in expanding our client base and ensuring that clients are not only satisfied but also deeply engaged with our services. The ultimate goal is to create long-lasting relationships and transition satisfied clients to the Account Management team for continued success and service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
* Client Acquisition & Growth:
* Identify and develop net new business opportunities by prospecting and reaching out to potential clients.
* Expand relationships with existing low spend clients by understanding their evolving needs and positioning our solutions effectively.
* Proactively manage a sales pipeline, from lead generation to closing, ensuring timely follow-up and conversion.
* Solution Selling:
* Understand and communicate the full range of our solutions to prospective and existing clients.
* Tailor product/service offerings to meet client needs, demonstrating the value and ROI of our solutions.
* Create compelling proposals and presentations that effectively highlight the benefits and unique selling points of our solutions.
* Assess the best level of service for each corporate client based on their needs and budget. If design or installation services are needed, this role, would work with a project executive to team on the opportunity. The project executive would be responsible for taking lead to execute the project.
* Client Retention & Engagement:
* Build strong, long-term relationships with clients, ensuring satisfaction and addressing any concerns to maintain trust and loyalty.
* Identify opportunities for upselling or cross-selling.
* Work closely with the Account Management team to ensure a seamless transition from sales to ongoing service delivery.
* Sales Strategy & Account Planning:
* Develop and execute targeted account plans to penetrate new business and expand existing accounts.
* Analyze market trends, client data, and industry opportunities to craft effective sales strategies for each target account.
* Collaborate with internal teams to tailor strategies and solution that align with the unique needs of high-potential accounts.
* Set clear sales targets and create action plans to drive measurable results and exceed business development goals.
Qualifications:
* Proven experience in business development, sales, or account management, ideally in a B2B environment.
* Strong ability to identify and close new business opportunities, with a demonstrated track record of success in achieving sales targets.
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels of an organization.
* Knowledge of the furniture industry is a plus.
* Ability to think strategically and tailor solutions to client needs.
* Strong problem-solving skills and ability to overcome objections.
* Proficient in CRM software and sales tools (e.g., Salesforce)
* Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
