Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Business Development Manager (BDM) to join our team in Surrey. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales, business expansion, and client relationship management within the construction and renovation industry. This role will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building strategic partnerships, and driving revenue growth for the company.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Generation & Sales Growth: Identify and target potential clients, including homeowners, real estate developers, and businesses.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients, ensuring high client retention.
  • Market Research & Analysis: Conduct market analysis to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape.
  • Business Expansion: Develop and implement strategic business development plans to expand Atwal Construction’s presence in Surrey and surrounding areas.
  • Proposal & Contract Negotiation: Prepare compelling business proposals and close deals through effective negotiation.
  • Networking & Brand Promotion: Represent Atwal Construction at industry events, networking forums, and trade shows to enhance brand visibility.
  • Collaboration with Internal Teams: Work closely with the marketing, design, and project teams to ensure seamless client onboarding and project execution.
  • Performance Tracking & Reporting: Maintain sales reports, track performance metrics, and provide insights to senior management.


Qualifications & Skills:

  • Education: Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field.
  • Experience: 2-5 years of experience in business development, sales, or client relations (preferably in construction, real estate, or renovation industries).
  • Industry Knowledge: Understanding of construction materials, renovation trends, project budgeting, and customer expectations in Canada.
  • Sales & Negotiation Skills: Proven track record in closing deals, meeting sales targets, and building lasting client relationships.
  • Communication & Networking: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage and persuade clients.
  • Tech-Savvy: Experience using CRM tools, Microsoft Office Suite, and digital marketing platforms is a plus.
  • Self-Driven & Goal-Oriented: Ability to work independently, take initiative, and drive business growth.
