Sales Territory: Ohio, eastern Indiana, northern Kentucky
Home Base: Anywhere in our service area. Must be willing to travel to Wapakoneta at least one day per week as well as routinely visiting our depot locations in Columbus, Cleveland, Springfield, Cincinnati, and Defiance.

The Role: As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for leading, training, and developing a team of Business Development team members focused on:
- Generating New Business: You and your team will be instrumental in expanding our customer base and bringing new business opportunities to the table.
- Product Presentation: Present and sell our company products and services to prospective clients, showcasing the value we can bring to their businesses.
- Prospecting: Use various methods to reach out to potential customers and nurture these relationships to build our client base.
- Customer Resolution: Be a problem-solver and help resolve customer inquiries, ensuring their satisfaction.
- Needs Analysis: Perform cost-benefit and needs analysis for potential customers to identify the best solutions for their unique requirements.
- Sales Targets: Strive to reach and exceed agreed-upon sales targets.
- Team Collaboration: Coordinate your sales efforts with other team members and departments, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment.
- In this leadership role you will also be responsible for:
- Managing and maintaining our CRM software utilization (Pipedrive)
- Maintaining extensive knowledge of the current market conditions
- Driving improvement of the organization’s market position
- Cultivating strong relationships/partnerships with customers (including corporate level accounts) and vendors
- Maintaining accountability to department budget

Qualifications
We are seeking a candidate with the following qualifications:
- Minimum of high school education/GED; Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, Business, or a related field preferred
- Previous experience leading a business development team exhibited through increasing levels of responsibility
- Customer-oriented with a knack for building rapport quickly and effectively
- Strong sales aptitude with excellent negotiation skills
- Highly motivated and self-starting
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent time management, organizational, and detail-oriented skills
- Strong relationship management skills and openness to feedback from customers and co-workers
- Must have valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Must be willing to sign non-compete agreement
