This role is customer-facing and manages integrated drug discovery opportunities in the Boston / Cambridge area.

  • Role Summary: Achieving corporate growth objectives in the designated territory, with a primary focus on Integrated Drug Discovery (IDD) opportunities that leverage capabilities across the complete drug discovery service and product portfolio.
  • Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Possess a global understanding of the drug discovery and drug development process as you sell the global chemistry portfolio comprising 300 synthetic chemistry FTEs, scale-up, robotics/automation labs, ADC, peptides, computational/medicinal chemistry design.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of relevant markets, including academic, biotech, and pharmaceutical sectors.
  • Display self-motivation and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Manage all aspects of the territory, including forecasting and sales.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship within the commercial team.
  • Take responsibility for sales and sales support of all drug discovery services.


Qualifications

  • Education/Experience
  • Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or related field is required.
  • 3+ years of sales experience in drug discovery OR hands-on drug discovery work with the ability and desire to work in sales capacity
  • Strong knowledge of synthetic/medicinal chemistry and pharmaceutical development.

  • No previous sales experience required (must know drug discovery/pharma however)
  • MUST have worked for a CRO or worked in Drug Discovery
  • Must know small molecule development or drug discovery CRO services!

  • Home Office. Target base salary $125K+/- plus additional commission of $75K-100K+
