We are looking for an experienced, ambitious and self-driven Business Development Manager with a strong hunter mindset to lead the development of our Bill Payments business in Romania. This role offers a clear path to becoming the Country Manager for the Romanian market within 12–18 months.
We are part of the Autopay Group, a company with over 20 years of experience in providing advanced payment and verification technologies. Our portfolio includes tools for online payment processing, efficient solutions for mass invoicing, systems for mobile top-ups, and identity verification services leveraging online banking.
Your responsibilities
Build and expand strategic partnership in the bill payments sector: telecoms, utility providers, internet and energy suppliers, cable TV, gas, and more.
Create and execute go-to-market and expansion strategies.
Lead high-level negotiations with C-level stakeholders.
Prepare offers and contracts, and oversee partner onboarding.
Collaborate with product and operations teams.
Monitor the market and competition, analyze KPIs.
In the long term – manage the local team and full P&L responsibility.
What we’re looking for
Minimum 5 years of B2B sales experience, including at least 2–3 years in a hunter/new business role.
Background in Fintech, Digital Payments, Utilities, Telco, or E-commerce.
Strong knowledge of the Romanian market and established relationships with key industry players.
Excellent negotiation skills, strategic mindset, and proactiveness.
Ambition and potential to grow into a Country Manager position.
Fluency in Romanian and English.
