Summary

Travelcard B.V., a Corpay company, is currently looking to hire a Business Development Manager. This position falls under our Europe Fleet line of business and is a hybrid role with our office based in Almere, the Netherlands. Frequent travel is also required.


About the role and what you’ll be doing:


In this role, you will play a crucial role in expanding Travelcard’s reach and enhancing its offerings through strategic partnerships. You will report directly to our Vice President of International Partner Relationships and regularly collaborate with the Travelcard management team and other lines of business within Europe Fleet. Your internal stakeholders span from Sales to Marketing and Product


In this role you will play a key role in going after business opportunities around simplifying how businesses and their drivers pay for vehicle related expenses, like fuel and electric charging, parking, insurance or maintenance/service, etc. These opportunities can require strategic partnerships which you will set up and negotiate or require building something new in greenfield projects which you will drive. You will also keep an eye out for good acquisition targets as Corpay is highly focused on M&A activities.


As a Business Development Manager, you carry a high degree of responsibility and work self-driven and autonomously. You will be expected to work in a hybrid environment however we will reflect your location to agree on a reasonable amount of office days per week/month.


  • Continuous market and competitor analysis.
  • Support Sales, Marketing and Product teams on landing on the right value propositions.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities, incl. new partnerships, products or services. 
  • Model the financial and strategic impact of business opportunities. 
  • Manage and nurture existing partnerships and negotiate terms. 
  • Organize well-structured cross-functional alignment for internal decision-making process. 
  • Sell special products like white label solutions to high volume customers.  
  • Find and develop new lead generation sources and multipliers. 
  • Create high quality internal presentation decks. 
  • Act as a liaison between partners and internal teams, facilitating communication and project execution to ensure the success of the partnership. 
  • Continuous monitoring and analysis of partnership performance, adapting strategies to maximize benefits.


Skills and experience we’d like you to have:


  • Profound industry knowledge in B2B fuel cards and/or electric vehicle charging solutions is highly preferred. 
  • 4+ years of experience in relevant fields like Business Development, Strategy, Consulting, Partner Sales, etc. 
  • Tenacity to bring greenfield project ideas into existence. 
  • Strong stakeholder management and the ability to oversee, prioritize and effectively balance a wide range of different and often competing requirements.
  • High urgency on whatever you tackle.
  • Strong skills to create high quality internal presentation decks.  
  • Dutch native speaking.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English  
  • Willingness to travel reasonably for meetings.
