Key Responsibilities

New Business Development

  • Identify and secure new clients across industries such as technology, healthcare, manufacturing, and professional services.
  • Generate leads through cold calling, networking, referring to referrals, and participation in industry events.
  • Develop and execute outreach strategies to engage decision-makers and present tailored staffing solutions.
  • Deliver persuasive sales presentations and proposals to win new business.
  • Lead negotiations and close contracts to establish long-term partnerships.

Market Expansion & Strategic Sales Growth

  • Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and client demands to shape effective sales strategies.
  • Maintain and grow a robust sales pipeline through initiative-taking research and outreach.
  • Partner with leadership to identify untapped sectors and develop custom go-to-market strategies.
  • Represent the company at trade shows, conferences, and networking events to expand brand visibility.

Client Engagement & Relationship Building

  • Build trusted relationships with key client stakeholders, including HR leaders, hiring managers, procurement teams, and MSP contacts.
  • Offer expert guidance on market trends and staffing strategies to position the organization as a valued partner.
  • Conduct introductory meetings, periodic check-ins, and business reviews to ensure alignment and satisfaction.
  • Seamlessly transitioning newly acquired accounts into the account management team, maintaining oversight for future growth.

Internal Collaboration

  • Work closely with recruiting and delivery teams to ensure seamless onboarding and fulfillment of client needs.
  • Provide market feedback to enhance recruiting strategies and improve service delivery.
  • Align with sales leadership to maintain consistent messaging and unified business development efforts.

Performance Tracking & Reporting

  • Track sales pipeline, client engagement metrics, and revenue growth against established KPIs.
  • Report on activity, outcomes, and opportunities using CRM platforms (Zoho preferred).
  • Maintain accurate records of client interactions and forecast upcoming opportunities.


Qualifications

  • Experience: 3+ years in business development, B2B sales, or client acquisition within the staffing, recruiting, or workforce solutions industry.
  • Sales Acumen: Demonstrated success in prospecting, pitching, negotiating, and closing new business.
  • Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with contingent workforce models, MSP programs, contract staffing, and direct hire solutions.
  • Relationship Management: Strong people skills and the ability to build trust with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Purpose: Driven by targets with a history of exceeding KPIs and revenue goals.
  • Tech Proficiency: Experience using CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, Zoho), ATS platforms, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Local Expertise: Deep knowledge of the Greater Austin business environment and hiring trends.
