About The Role

We are seeking a credible and driven Business Development (Producer) to join and support our rapidly growing organization. This role can be filled at AVP, VP or SVP level depending on candidate experience.

  • Chicago, IL
  • Philadelphia or Pittsburgh, PA
  • Jericho, NY
  • DMV Region (Washington DC, Maryland, Virginia)

Key Responsibilities Include

  • Achieve new business sales goals; Retain a minimum of 95% of book of business year over year.
  • Identify, qualify, and develop new business opportunities as well as sponsorship opportunities and speaking engagements.
  • Systematically use available technology as directed to support sales processes in Dynamics CRM and data platforms.
  • Positively and proactively represent American Global in meetings, seminars, trade shows, networking events, industry associations, organizations, boards and charities, as appropriate.
  • Clearly promote American Global’s competitive differentiation in written and verbal presentations.
  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of competitors to aid in company prospecting efforts; Author articles, read publications, stay current on legal issues impacting the industry, participate in webinars/conversations, knowledge sharing.
  • Cultivate relationships with centers of influence.
  • Engage with account management staff in annual stewardship process, pre-renewal process, final renewal delivery, and other significant account management services; Support teams in response to requests for proposals (RFP).
  • Provide advice on product development and distribution and promotion strategies.
  • Analyze client risk profile and develop account strategy with the team and client.
  • Provide thought leadership, track market trends, embracing change and innovation as the industry evolves.
  • Assist with training and mentoring business development associates
  • Additional responsibilities as required; Undertake various duties and special projects as assigned.

The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant’s geographic location.
