Storage Strategy and Roadmap development THE OPPORTUNITY Total Systems Solutions Consulting Inc. https://totalsystems.ca is seeking a Storage Strategy and Roadmap Development to work for our public sector client at the Vancouver Island Health Authority in the Province of British Columbia. You must be available 100% to work remote full-time 37.5 hours per week with availability Monday to Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm in the Pacific Time Zone. The consultant is expected to start October 1, 2024 and the contract length is 2 years. Project Context This Statement of Work is looking for a Service Provider with extensive experience in developing enterprise storage strategies and technical roadmaps encompassing hybrid on-prem/cloud environments. The current state of our organization's storage services requires a thorough analysis and strategy development to ensure its performance, security, efficiency, and usage tracking meet the current and evolving needs of our users and systems. The absence of a documented storage strategy and roadmap has resulted in tactical investment requests being raised without the requisite context to inform strategic decision making. The Storage and Backup team aims to develop a storage strategy and roadmap that will serve as a blueprint for future storage investment requests. Such a strategy is essential for scalability including seamless accommodation of data growth. It also addresses critical aspects like backup, data security and regulatory compliance, cost efficiency, collaboration, and disaster recovery. The Service Provider will lead the strategy and roadmap development efforts and collaborate, as the subject matter expert, with the internal teams as needed to produce these deliverables (refer to section 2.5 Services Required for a list of all required deliverables). The expectation is that this Scope of Work will deliver a comprehensive storage strategy with a roadmap of fully actionable projects, to be executed over the next three years, which will ultimately achieve the recommended improvements. Objectives: The primary objectives of this engagement are as follows: Assessment of existing storage and backup systems for both on-premises and cloud environments. Identify gaps between current storage and backup capabilities and future business objectives. Develop a storage strategy roadmap that addresses any identified gaps and accommodates for future growth, evolving business needs, expansion to the Cloud, and industry best practices and trends. Services Required This Statement of Work is looking to engage a Service Provider that will bring the requisite resources with the required experiences, skills, and knowledge to deliver the services and deliverables outlined below.
