POSITION DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a highly motivated Business Development Account Manager with proven experience and a passion for selling luxury gifting products to high-end clients. The ideal candidate is a proactive self-starter with the ability to develop strong relationships to drive revenue growth. Experience in high-end gifting, premium confectionery or luxury goods sales and a proven ability to expand business opportunities through strategic corporate partnerships is a must.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Drive sales through proactive outreach to existing and new corporate accounts to meet and exceed sales goals.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing premium customer service and account support.
  • Identify customer needs and suggest tailored gifting solutions from our luxury product range.
  • Collaborate with marketing and product development teams to create promotional materials, marketing campaigns, and customized gifting solutions.
  • Stay informed about the industry, market, and competition by using sales data to identify trends and opportunities for growth in the luxury gifting and experiential events segment.
  • Negotiate contracts, payment terms, and pricing structures to maximize profitability.
  • Conduct in-person presentations and product tastings to showcase our gourmet offerings.
  • Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to enhance brand presence.
  • Provide regular reporting and sales updates, leveraging CRM and sales tools.
  • Identify customer segments and their needs to develop sales plans for incremental growth.
  • Build on existing event programs and offerings to promote superior experiences and growth.
  • Create sales and product forecasts to feed into the company’s Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners to identify and resolve operational issues.

QUALIFICATIONS/DESIRED CHARACTERISTICS

  • Proven track record in outside sales, preferably 5+ years in luxury goods or the gourmet food industry.
  • Established industry relationships (client book) with corporate decision-makers, procurement teams, and luxury buyers.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to engage with diverse clientele, both written and verbal.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple accounts effectively, especially with high-profile or C-level clients.
  • Experience with optimizing and diversifying corporate gifting channels and strategies to achieve rapid growth.
  • Self-starter who can work independently, identify opportunities, and multitask to act upon and execute sales in a fast-paced environment.
  • The ability to curate personalized gifting solutions for high-profile corporate clients.
  • Proficiency in CRM tools and sales reporting software.
  • Ability to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend events.
  • Previous experience with HubSpot, Apollo.ai or similar prospecting tools, and ClickUp is a plus!
